Daniel T. Moore, CPA owns D.T. Moore and Company, LLC located in Salem, Ohio. His ever growing practice concentrates on tax preparation, advising and planning for small business and individuals with an extensive payroll processing and compliance division. He finds enjoyment working with start-up companies from concept, strategizing through development, leading to growth. Daniel served on the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council (IRSAC) and served as chair for two years of the Wage and Investment subgroup of IRSAC. He served on the IRS executive steering committee for the 1040 modernized efile platform implementation. He was appointed as a member of the AICPA Individual Income Tax Technical Resource Panel and also served on the planning committee for the Tax Strategies for High Income Individuals conference in addition to the AICPA’s Individual Technical Resource Panel. He also has served on the Practice Management Committee and was recently appointed to the IRS Advocacy & Relations Committee. He is on the legislative committee of the Ohio Society of CPAS. Daniel has taught income taxation as an adjunct professor at Youngstown State University. He has spoken on behalf of the Ohio Society of CPAS on the topic of the Ohio Budget Task Force and presented at the AICPA’s High Net Worth Individual Tax conference on the topic of Identity Theft. In addition, he has served as a panelist on the Internal Revenue Service webcast series, “TaxTalkToday.” Daniel is well informed on many topics. In addition to training on topics ranging from the federal tax update- individual and business he has spoken about advising clients on social security benefits, planning for college costs and working with tax exempt organizations. He has authored many articles in The Tax Advisor as well as being quoted in the Wall Street Journal. In 2012, Daniel was honored by the CPA Practice Advisor magazine as one of the 40 under 40 individuals held in high regard for their contribution to the Public Accounting Profession. On a local level, Daniel has been president of the Rotary Club of Salem and the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the board of the Counseling Center of Columbiana County, the Kent Salem Advisory Board and is a member of the Kent State University Alumni Association as well as serving as Treasurer for the Salem High School Alumni Association.
